Products purchased from the counterfeiting organization using the domain name dualbandchinstrap.com (and our copyrighted images and text and trademarks KNIGHTSBRIDGE and DUAL BAND) may suffer from inferior workmanship or poor quality control, such sizing issues. And there have been alterations/short-cuts to the design which adversely affect functionality. About our counterfeiter
​This website is operated by me, Larry/Laurence Jay Shaw, the inventor of the chin strap of WIPO patent publication WO 2021007181 A1, the holder of US Trademark No. 7513228 for KNIGHTSBRIDGE and US Trademark No. 6120858 for DUAL BAND, and the founder of Knightsbridge Sleep Solutions.
An organization operating under the name of our company, and using the (stolen) url dualbandchinstrap.com, our trademarks KNIGHTSBRIDGE and DUAL BAND, and copyrights (including depictions of me) is the subject of federal racketeering lawsuit 4:24-cv-05826-HSG.
In December 2023, defendant Edwin Dario Manzano Garcia (aka Edwin Manzoni, aka Edwin Manzano, aka Edwin Dario Manzano Garcia IV) formed a New Mexico corporation under the name of my company, Knightsbridge Sleep Solutions. There is now “entry of default” (docket item 50, Dec. 17, 2024) against this organization. After attempts to evade service of the summons and Complaint in this lawsuit (including by use of fraudulent government documents), this organization was served by process server on November 1, 2024 and failed to appear in court as required by law. ​
A hearing on a Motion for Default Judgment is scheduled for April 17, 2025 and this situation should be rectified shortly thereafter.
In the meantime, this organization remains in operation and Mr. Manzoni is spreading slanderous falsehoods in public forums where he can lie with impunity. Below is Mr. Manzoni’s post on ApneaBoard.com on January 20, 2025.​
Three points basically sum up what is going on ….
1. Mr. Manzoni "categorically denies all allegations” of hacking and illegal activity ...
I operate three businesses: I market the Knightsbridge Dual Band chin strap through my company Knightsbridge Sleep Solutions; I market another of my inventions, a toy called Astrojax®, through my company New Toy Classics; and I am a federally registered patent agent doing business under the name Integral Patent.
About one week after I had made an emergency return from Guatemala to the US for diagnosis and treatment for an aggressive lymphoma, Edwin Manzoni, who functioned as our production floor manager and internet assets administrator, hijacked our Guatemala production facility and all electronic assets of the company, and began a campaign of hacking and sabotage of core operational assets of Knightsbridge and my two other sources of income, leaving me financially and operationally incapacitated while I was also physically incapacitated with cancer and chemotherapy.​
To the right is a text from Mr. Manzoni sent shortly after his hijacking of my company where he informs me that he has also hacked and stolen my Integral Patent email account (where I had 30 years of business records) and a post-hijacking Knightsbridge domain name. And below is a text from Mr. Manzoni informing me he had “compromised” the Astrojax website.
To the right is a text from Mr. Manzoni sent shortly after the hijacking of Knightsbridge where he informs me he has hacked and stolen my Integral Patent email account (where I had 30 years of business records) and a post-hijacking Knightsbridge account, and below is a text from Mr. Manzoni informing me he has “compromised” my Astrojax business accounts.
This page from a jurisdiction filing provides a partial list of unlawful activities for which I have evidence were committed by Mr. Manzoni. (The counterfeiting organization currently dominates Google search using my trademarks KNIGHTSBRIDGE and DUAL BAND, in part due to the hacking and theft of our Google Adwords account as per item (i) below.)
While Edwin Manzoni publicly "denies all allegations ... [of] hacking ... or any illegal activity," he in fact prides himself for his operations as cyber mobster. This is the picture which he (identifiable by the tattoos on his arm) uses as his avatar on his personal Facebook and WhatsApp accounts for weeks at a time .
2. Mr. Manzoni says that I “did not invent the product alone,” and the Our Story page of his counterfeiting website claims that he and I invented the product together while I was staying in Guatemala
I was not in Guatemala when I invented the product, and Mr. Manzoni had nothing to do with its invention. His Our Story page, which presumably he feels would justify his theft of my company and use of my intellectual properties, is a fabrication.
As per the cover sheet of the patent publication, the Priority Data shows that the two initial patent filings for the patent application were on July 5, 2019 and July 25, 2019.
And as shown by the email below, dated July 8, 2019, I was in the United States developing the product during this period.
The Our Story page on the counterfeiting website (although albeit surprisingly well-written) gives itself away that it is a fabrication by saying an initial prototype was made from "a swimcap” ... attaching a non-elastic strap to an elastic cap defeats the whole purpose of incorporating a non-elastic strap.
3. Regarding Mr. Manzoni's “we have comprehensive documentation to counter Mr. Shaw’s assertions” …
There is now entry of default as noted above ... Mr. Manzoni's organization didn’t show up in a court of law to present any of this "comprehensive documentation."

The lawsuit is filed under the federal racketeering (RICO) statutes. The RICO statutes allow an entity (such as an individual) to file a civil lawsuit which includes criminal charges in cases such as this where the business model of the organization involves a “pattern” of “predicate racketeering acts” targeting the entity.

They were presumably enticed by Mr. Manzoni’s ability to offer substantial discounts given he was selling stolen goods and using stolen equipment, raw materials, and infrastructure to manufacture counterfeit product.
